Free parking during Leamington sewer works

Drivers visiting Leamington can park for free while sewer works take place in one of the main streets in the south of the town.

Severn Trent Water, which is carrying out the work in High Street, is working with Warwick District Council to organise free parking for two hours in Court Street and a shuttle bus to Old Town.

The firm’s programme manager Chris Keys said: “While our work to prevent sewer flooding in Leamington continues on High Street, we’re doing all we can to make access to businesses – and the area in general – as easy as possible.

“We’re doing this to help shoppers visiting businesses in the High Street and Bath Street area.

“We’re carrying out sewer improvements from the junction with Tachbrook Road to Bath Place for the next three months.”

The shuttle bus will cover a circular route, running every half hour between High Street, Radford Road and the Parade betwee 7.30am and 6.30pm, from Monday to Saturday. The timetable is on the Stagecoach website.

Mr Keys added: “The £11 million sewer flooding prevention work involves teamwork with a number of organisations and the local community – we’re grateful for their ongoing collaboration and support.”
