Fundraiser inspired to put on GOSH ball

Raising money to help provide the best possible hospital care for children is the motivation for a Leamington woman who has organised a charity ball.

Michelle Fallaize has taken part in various charity events over the years including the Moonwalk in London for Breast Cancer Awareness and the London to Brighton 100k cycle challenge.

It was when she applied for the latter that she was inspired to organise her own event for a good cause.

Mrs Fallaize said: “I work as a nanny so instinctively I‘m drawn towards children’s charities. Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity was there, so I went onto its website to find out more. I was overwhelmed by the work they do to essentially save the lives of children, so my decision was made.”

The ball - a black tie event - will take place at Jephson’s Brasserie in Jephson Gardens on Friday April 12 from 7pm.

There will be a three-course meal, an auction and live music by Quest. Tickets cost £45 per person.
