Hero needed to start the Community Games at Stoneleigh Park

STONELEIGH Park is asking people to nominate a Warwickshire-based Community Hero to help light a beacon at its Community Games, which are taking place on the August 4 and 5.

The chosen Community Hero will be asked to light a beacon on the first day of the Stoneleigh Park Community Games to officially declare them open.

Whether it is a dad who can’t do enough for people, a carer who never complains or a friend who raises money for charity, Stoneleigh Park wants to hear all about them.

The Games will offer great value and weather-proof family fun, with the opportunity to get involved in dozens of exciting activities.

Visitors will be able to try their hand at over 26 different sports, including BMXing, skateboarding, shooting, rowing, horse riding, taekwondo, fencing and gymnastics.

For those of a more artistic nature, a craft corner will offer extra entertainment, and everyone under 16 will get a free doggie bag which will include the chance to win tickets for the upcoming Scootfest.

And whether the weather is sizzling or soggy the whole day can be open air or under cover, meaning this is one sporting occasion which definitely won’t be a wash out.
