Inquest of Warwick paratrooper Pte Conrad Lewis

Warwick paratrooper Pte Conrad Lewis was one of two solders killed with a single shot by an insurgent sniper in Afghanistan, an inquest has heard.

Pte Lewis and Pte Lewis Hendry were on joint foot patrol with the Afghan National Army in Helmand Province on February 9 when they were shot by the sharpshooter.

Pte Lewis, 22, of 4th Battalion The Parachute Regiment was born in Bournemouth but lived in Warwickshire.

Pte Hendry, 20, from Norfolk, was a member of the 3rd Batallion The Parachute Regiment.

The two soldiers’ inquest was held in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
