Leamington super slimmer meets Atomic Kitten star Natasha Hamilton

Kevin McGreevy, who has lost 16st 4lb in a year, was congratulated on his success by Natasha Hamilton at the finals of Slimming World’s Man of the Year 2011 competition.

And the former Atomic Kitten singer, who is currently performing in Blood Brothers at the Phoenix Theatre in London, revealed she had lost weight through slimming world herself.

Mr McGreevy said: “Most men would do anything to lose weight before they’d go to a slimming club.

“They think it’s all a bit girly but my mates soon changed their minds when they saw how much weight I was losing and how much food I was eating.

“I wasn’t any different to anyone else at the club because we were all there for the same reason and had the same goal to lose weight,”

An actor himself, Mr McGreevy weighed 29st 10.5lb before he joined the Lillington Slimming World Group last year.

Nikki McDonnell, who runs the group, said: “I hope Kevin inspires lots of other men in Leamington Spa who’d like to lose weight to bite the bullet, join Slimming World and start their journey to a fitter future.”
