Longest day leads to longest game of golf
Four 18-hole games of golf in four different countries!
Some said it could never be done but John Burton and Dan Hacker are living proof it can as they took flight from Wellesbourne airfield on the longest day of the year. The pair were out of their Piper light aircraft at 4.15am to tee-off in Derry, before hopping over to courses in Scotland, Wales and back to their home Menzies Welcombe Golf Club for a final game at 7.15pm. John (left), who lives in Warwick, said so far they’ve raised £3,900 for breast and prostate cancer care.
