Man and teenager arrested after suspected stabbing in Leamington

Two arrests were made after a suspected stabbing at the Pump Room Gardens in Leamington yesterday (Tuesday).

Warwickshire Police were called to the park at about 2pm after a man sustained injuries to his shoulder, believed to have been caused by a bladed weapon.

The man, in his 20s, was treated at University Hospital Coventry for the injuries, which are not thought to be life changing or life threatening.

A 21-year-old man from Leamington Spa, and a 16-year-old boy from Warwick, have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in custody.

A weapon was recovered from the scene.
