Man charged after incident with blade at the Pump Room Gardens in Leamington

A 21-year-old man has been charged following an incident involving a bladed weapon at the Pump Room Gardens in Leamington on Tuesday.

Ibrahim Diallo,21, of no fixed abode, has been charged with wounding with intent. He is due to appear at Leamington Magistrates today (Thursday).

A 16-year-old boy from Warwick has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed until 15th September whilst inquiries continue.

A weapon was recovered from the scene.

A man sustained injuries to his shoulder, believed to be caused by a bladed weapon.

The victim, in his 20s, was treated at Walsgrave Hospital for the injuries, which are not thought to be life changing or life threatening.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information is urged to contact Det Con Marcus Franklin on 101 quoting incident number 201 of 11th August.
