Man found dead following police search

Police were called out to reports of a missing man at around 10pm on Thursday September 11.

The 35-year-old, who has not been named, was reported missing by family and a search was launched involving a police helicopter and teams on the ground.

Officers later found the body of a man on the Common just off Dalehouse Lane and the search was called off.

His death is not being treated as suspicious by police who are working with his family.

A Warwickshire police spokesman said: “A search was carried out in the surrounding area by officers, where a man was found deceased in a wooded area next to Dalehouse Lane.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious. Next of kin have been informed.”
