Myton Hospice rowing duo head home
Hannah Lawton and Lauren Moreton, who were students with Eleanor at the University of West England, were aiming to raise £100,000 for Myton Hospice - where Eleanor was cared for - by rowing from Tenerife to Antigua in 75 days.
Sadly, after the rudder on their boat broke, the two young women have been unable to complete their challenge and decided to return home. On their blog on March 11, they wrote: “Both of us have been amazed and overwhelmed by all of the support back home and really can’t thank everyone enough.”
