National Grid singers hit right note in Lillington
Mary Stephens, 86, was a member of the operatic society – which changed name to the Leamington and Warwick Musical Society in 2002 – for over 25 years.
She said: “It was very kind of the volunteers to come and sing to us. Their choir sounded very professional.” Mary starred in several glittering productions over the years including Half a Sixpence, Dolly, Mame, South Pacific, Fiddler on the Roof and The Sound of Music. She won a long service award at the society for 25 years after joining in the late 1970s.
