A daft decision

Health and safety gone mad is an overworked phrase, but it surely applies to the daft permanent closure of the Nat West escalator in the Royal Priors. Escalators must be the safest mode of transport known to man!

When I enquired, I was told that two people had tripped on it, so it was now closed for good! Two people in 20 odd years! Their fault for not holding the handrail.

I don’t blame NatWest, but our claim and compensation hungry culture, copied from USA. Goodbye to my shortcut!
