HS2 reminds me of the Schlieffen Plan
HS2 reminds me of the Schlieffen Plan, used by the Germans in 1914 to defeat France by first bludgeoning their way through the Belgians, whose territory they had agreed to protect.
The details had been considered. Every modern device had been employed. Everything would work like a dream.
