Important info - on post in Devon!

I was excited when I received a letter from the Royal Mail today entitled ‘Important Information’, because my postman in Whitnash had been looking very tired lately and wasn’t delivering my mail until four o’clock in the afternoon.

Perhaps the letter may give me the reasons why. With bated breath I opened the letter. It said it was from the Royal Mail delivery manager for my area. I read a little more.

It explained that changes had to take place and wanted to explain why. It goes on to say the mail delivers to 29 million houses, it’s the most comprehensive mail service in the world and how they must modernise and keep prices low, organise the delivery routes, invest in new equipment and how the postmen and and women play a vital role delivering the mail in the Farnbourgh area.

Sorry did it say Farnbourgh? Yes it did. The hand delivered letter came from the Delivery Sector Manager in PLYMOUTH! With first class stamps now at 60p and my postman having to walk from Farnbourgh to hand deliver Royal Mail junk mail is it time for a change of leadership? - Cllr Adrian Barton, Whitnash.
