Lack of seating led to three falls

Regarding inadequate seating in Warwick Street. On three occasions recently I have found myself at the Lillington end of Warwick Street having walked continuously for about 20 minutes.

I have been tired and exhausted and desperately looking for somewhere to sit, but to no avail. Each time I have ended up collapsing - twice in the road and once on the pavement - and very close to passing out. On each occasion members of the public have come to my aid.

The first was six ladies (one a nurse) and on the other occasions were two gentlemen - no sign of a policeman or traffic warden.

Why no seats in Warwick Street?

There are a very large number in the Jephson Gardens. Surely half a dozen of these could be moved to Warwick Street as this is often a resting place for the weary traveller?

If the council will not do anything about this state of affairs then perhaps the local political parties could agitate and force the council’s hand in this matter.

It would also give temporary employment to some youngsters who are keen to work.

I hope I don’thave a fourth fall whilst waiting for some seating. - John Barry, Warren Close, Leamington.
