London bound?
On September 13, BBC Radio 4 programme “Today in Parliament”, reported that Mr Hammond, Minister for Transport admitted that though the workers in Manchester may find travel on HS2 rather expensive, the senior people in the local firms could dump on the HS2 and fly from Heathrow airport to gain orders abroad for their companies.
I thought Manchester had an international airport. Now we know why the Government wants HS2, it is promoting London. - S.Garrett, Thornby Aeveune, Kenilworth.
