Not all one-way traffic for cyclists

I cycle up Broad Street each morning to work and at the end of the street there are no entry signs for motor vehicles but there are two signs stating bikes are not included in this and are allowed to cycle the wrong way in a one way street - but this morning I have a car driver shouting at me as it is a one way street.

There is a sign from the entry that I can see but to motorists it appears that cyclists are ignoring the one way and illegally cycling down a one way street. So I can understand him shouting as how is he to know that there is an exception for bikes until he drives the other way into Broad Street and will then see the sign?

Motorists will go away with a disgruntled feeling towards what they perceive as cyclists flouting the law, and that is not the impression any cyclist wants. Please can motorists be aware that in Leamington and Warwick there are one way streets that allow cyclists to cycle the wrong way into the street. - Name and address supplied.
