Parking mix-up has been cleared up

Unfortunately, it appears that the car park attendants had been briefed that this offer was for one day and one visit only and were attempting to confiscate the vouchers. They were obviously not able to cope with the disputes that resulted and were obviously distressed.

In an extremely constructive telephone conversation yesterday, one of the Warwick District Council parking team told me that there was a clear difference between what they had intended (one-visit-only) and the published voucher and that they now understood that this placed their car park attendants in an intolerable situation.

She assured me that they would brief all their teams that the vouchers had to be taken to mean what they said: “Free Parking every Saturday in December”.
