Postal service has got worse and worse

It hasn’t got better with these new delivery patterns and whoever decided to use these trolleys must need their head looking at,

I watch a postman regularly dragging it up every pathway, not leaving it at the gate which delays his deliveries, not even carrying the mail in his hand, and having to go in to the trolley every time to get letters out.

What happened to the days of walking up one side of a street on the odds and walk back down to the even side instead of dragging a trolley criss-cross over the street. It doesn’t make sense.

Business people don’t get their mail any earlier than anyone else. I see a doctors’ surgery getting its post at lunch time - that’s not good practice is it? Also a local bank, so how can that be productive?

Mail deliveries should be allowed to leave their sorting office by 7am, so the route they serve all get mail by 11am at the latest. There should be no excuses for afternoon deliveries of first class mail.

In my days as a postman, with high volumes of mail, and as much junk mail, every household was completed in the alloted time,,

So postal services are a bit rubbish, and internet options of mailing and private companies are far more productive and cheaper. I feel the Royal Mail will lose so much custom now, not only in its delivery section. - Name and address supplied.
