Response to story has been brilliant

I would like to say a very big thank you to all the kind people who have helped us with our campaign to support operation shoebox.

Since the Courier featured a picture of the troops out in Afghanistan last week the boxes have been flooding in. It has been so rewarding and very moving, we have had pensioners bring in not one but two boxes, and even gentlemen who served in 1957/1958 filling the boxes with lots of goodies, and also sending such touching messages to the troops which I am sure will be much appreciated.

There is still time to make a donation as the deadline for dropping off to the office is no later than 18th November.
