Time for curtains to come down
Could I ask you to draw the attention of the good folk of Royal Leamington Spa to the state of the curtains at the town hall, clearly visible in the windows behind the statue of Queen Victoria.
As a member of the Leamington History Group - planning to re-start the Town Guided Walks this month, I would hate it if visitors took a photo of the town hall or the statue with such a shabby backdrop.
Victoria looks rather offended, and it is easy to see why. The curtains look as though they were put up at the same time as the statue, but Her Majesty is wearing better. Does Warwick District Council need to apply for one of their own grants for some new ones?
