Use site for needed town housing

According to the “experts” consulted by WDC and Wilson Bowden, we weren’t supposed to reach this level of internet shopping until after 2031.

“Dozens of Britain’s biggest name chains are cutting back the size of their physical store estate as more and more business goes online” {same article]. The Clarendon Arcade, if built as and when it was originally planned, would have been a monstrous white elephant.

On the other hand, WDC is desperate for acceptable housing sites for the Local Plan.

Why not redevelop Chandos Street and the surrounding sites as high density town housing? That’s what the area was originally and that’s what is needed.
