War memorial was sadly neglected
We did remember them. What a wonderful turnout for the service of remembrance at the War Memorial in Royal Leamington Spa and how well organised by the town council.
But sadly the war memorial looked much neglected, with moss and algae growing on the plinth. Also, instead of grass in which to place crosses and wreaths there was just a bare patch of earth.
We appreciate that we are in a recession but surly the cutbacks do not extend to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. - Bill & Jan Robbins, Parklands Avenue, Leamington.
