What were the colours of old Linden Arches?
The photograph of the Linden Arches (Courier May 25) was interesting to compare with the new arches recently unveiled. I would think it was taken late afternoon judging by the shadows on the parade buildings.
Also the lamps strung along the top of the arch must be part of the Christmas Lights at that time. What is particularly interesting is how striking the arches looked. Do any of your readers know what colour(s) the arches were painted in the past? - Robert Cunliffe, Morton Street, Leamington.
