In a statement released by the group, its says the store has been closed 'for the foreseeable future'.

The statement says: "Kenilworth Lions regret to announce that because of the Covid-19 crisis our Furniture Store in Farmer Ward Road, Kenilworth will not be open next Saturday morning as usual, and will remain closed for the foreseeable future.

"All van collections and deliveries of furniture have also ceased with immediate effect.

"This unprecedented step is considered necessary to help protect the health and wellbeing of our customers, our volunteers and our members.

"We shall keep the situation under constant review, so watch out for further developments and announcements in due course."
