On selected Saturdays starting on July 18th, volunteer guides will take guests round the Grade-1 listed Court House at the corner of Jury Street and Castle Street, telling of its construction after the Great Fire of Warwick, and introducing visitors to the eleven-hundred-year history of the county town.

The tour dates will be July 18t, August 1 and 29, and September 5th.

Tours start at 11am and last about 45 minutes.

The chair of unlocking Warwick, Karen Parker, said, “We will be keeping to two-metre social distancing, so numbers will be limited to ten individuals per tour and it will be essential to book at the Visitor Information Centre, or call the staff on 01926 492212.

Pubs, restaurants, shops and various attractions in Warwick have reopened now, so with social distancing observed, we will be pleased to introduce the growing numbers of visitors to the rich history of Warwick on our free tours.

"We'll hope to give guests a quick look at the 18th century Town Council Chamber and the lovely Regency Ballroom in the Court House, as well as outlining Warwick's history from its origins in Anglo-Saxon times.

"We have been conducting these tours for the past six summers, and we know they are much appreciated both by visitors from far and wide, and local residents who want to know more about the Court House and their home town.”
