Kenilworth fundraiser closes in on her million steps as she raises money for a charity close to her heart
A Kenilworth fundraiser is close to reaching her one millionth step as she raises money for a charity close to her heart.
Lisa Rathbone is taking part in the One Million Step challenge for Diabetes UK, having been a type 1 diabetic herself for 30 years.

Hide AdShe started on July 1 and is currently on 945,678 steps or 447.76 miles with 55,000 steps left.
And Lisa has already surpassed her fundraising target but is still keen to accept more donations for the charity.
Lisa said: "I have been a type 1 diabetic for 30 years, injecting five times a day but now I wear an insulin pump.
"After being diagnosed a type 1 diabetic at the age of 11 I feel it's time to give something back to research and Diabetes UK.

Hide Ad"There are 4.8 million people living with diabetes in the UK, the complications of which lead to over 500 premature deaths every week.
"So, I’m stepping towards a healthier me, and a better future for people living with diabetes.
