Leamington community centre set to re-open face to face employment services next week

Throughout the lockdown period, the service supported people who had been affected by the economic crises caused by Covid-19.

Rachel Cefai, work relationship officer at the Brunswick Hub, said: "Nearly two million people have applied for universal credit benefits since the government advised people to stay at home due to Coronavirus.

"People have found themselves losing work and income that they have not anticipated.

"They needed support to help navigate the benefits system and their employment rights during this immensely difficult times that we have found ourselves in.

"Vacancies are at the lowest level since 2001 so people need to make their skills and experience stand out in what is now a flooded market.

"Therefore we are re-opening our doors on Tuesday August 4 to continue supporting people face to face, we will be helping people along their journey by providing support with information, advice & guidance on benefits, redundancy, employment issues and education.

"As well as helping to create CV’s, prepare for interviews and assist with job applications, all appointments are one to one so people will receive the right support tailored to their needs."
