The letter to the parents says: "A decision has taken that the school cannot continue to have all year groups at the school due to growing staff absence.

"In order to continue to educate students for as long as possible, it is planned that year groups should be rotated with priority given to years 11 to 13.

"This decision has not been taken lightly but is necessary so that students can be supervised adequately.

"A decision will be made on a daily basis with updates provided as soon as possible each day."

Parents evenings and non-essential visits to the school have been cancelled until further notice.
