Vouchers are limited and it is hoped that people who do not need a voucher will leave them for residents who do, for the vouchers are not a statutory entitlement.

Due to the national lockdown, Liz Healey, visitor information centre manager said: "Our plan is to have a stall at Warwick Market on Saturday (December 5) where we will be able to hand out the 2020 Mayor’s Vouchers in the fresh air.

"The Mayor of Warwick will be joining us from 11am to noon to help hand out vouchers.

"If you are isolating this year please do not hesitate to phone the visitor information centre on 01926 492212, all we need is your name and address and we will come to your house to deliver your voucher.

"You then have up until December 31 to redeem it.

"Of course, you are most welcome to come and collect your voucher in person at the visitor information centre, (Jury Street, CV34 4EW) when we hopefully reopen again on December 3 subject to government guidelines changing."

Vouchers can be collected on production of a pension card or bus pass (identification with name, address and date of birth), between 10am to 4pm from December 3.
