The Group’s Facebook page has more than 6,800 members with hundreds more people joining every day.

Thousands of postcards with the Group’s contact details have now been distributed to homes across Warwick and Leamington and to local pharmacies, to make sure everybody in the area knows how to get help if they need it.

Cllr Helen Adkins, who represents Leamington Willes at Warwickshire County Council and is one of the organisers, said: "It's wonderful to see neighbours signing up to help their fellow citizens.

"Whilst there is support from our local councils for the most vulnerable, mutual aid means neighbours can come together to help anyone with shopping or pick up a prescription.

"Being able to get help easily, takes so much stress off people who are having to self-isolate and keeps our community safe."
