In the book, Brian, who lives in Warwick, celebrates the life of his beloved wife Mary Bonner and the joy she brought to so many people in so many ways during her life. Brian and Mary met in 1991 and enjoyed 29 years together.

The book also offers thanks for the amazing support the couple received from so many people within the NHS and beyond.

Mary left a significant legacy gift in her will to the benefit of the Aylesford Unit, the Breast Care Unit and the Warwick Hospital Cancer Support Group, as a thank you for the care she received at the hospital.

In the book, Brian recalls: “Warwick Hospital is a huge operation which employs more than 3,000 people. If there is, amongst that lot, from cleaners to consultants, one who does not sit somewhere between good and brilliant, we did not meet him or her.”
