A special walking trail quiz aimed at children and families has been set up to help raise money for charity - and to help people appreciate the wonderful sights of Kenilworth.

It has been put together by Claire Goult who is trying to raise money for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).

Claire had hoped to be running the London marathon until that was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

So she set up the number trail - about a two-hour walk in total and all the answers are numbers - around the town to raise money for the charity.

Claire said: "It’s to make people appreciate their eyesight and hopefully raise money for the RNIB. I am offering a £50 prize draw from my own pocket to correct/complete entries.

"Charities will really suffer this year as there is no incentive to raise money for a London marathon place. I paid for my own place but wanted to do a little good too."

Claire put a sign and entry forms outside her house at 16 Brooke Road and all 20 paper entries went straight away, so she is printing some more to keep up with demand.

People can pick up forms outside her house and Claire is requesting a £5 donation to take part. This will automatically enter you into the prize draw of £50.

The event will finish on October 4 and the prize draw will be made the following day.
