About 300 people are expected to turn up to sing and pray from the comfort of their cars.

They haven't been able to worship together since the pandemic broke out.

So the team at St Paul’s Church in Leicester Street, Leamington, have come up with a novel idea - a drive-in church!

On Sunday September 20 at 10.30am, the Kenilworth Drive In Cinema in Leamington Road, Kenilworth, will play host to the congregation of St Paul's for a service with a difference.

Adam Tams, event co-ordinator and Curate at St Paul’s, said: "As a large church in Leamington Spa, we’ve been unable to meet in person since March 2020.

"On September 20, thanks to Simon and the team at Kenilworth Drive In Cinema, we will be worshiping together from our cars.

"There will be sung worship, prayers, teaching and fun and games – all from the safety of our cars.

"The service is expected to last around 45 minutes to an hour and is our first opportunity to be together since the pandemic started.

"We’re expecting 300 of our church family to attend in their own cars."
