A hair salon in Warwick has been celebrating 'the best of Warwickshire' with their recent photo competition.

The team at Hair Management salon recently set out to create a feelgood factor by running a photo competition to celebrate 'the most beautiful sights' of the local area.

The idea was inspired by a photograph of the sunset over Warwick Castle, taken by one of their team members.

It received a huge response on Facebook and gave the salon owners, Stephen and Julie Morley and Adrian Court, the idea of asking the community to share their favourite views too.

The team said the people of Warwickshire did not disappoint and shared some amazing photos of Warwick and Kenilworth.

Stephen said: “There was such a good reaction to Adrian’s beautiful photo of Warwick Castle, that we thought it would be nice to celebrate all of the outstanding natural beauty we have on our doorsteps.

“Some of the entries were truly stunning and remind us how very lucky we are to live in this part of the world.”

The winner was chosen by Adrian Court, who had inspired the competition.

He said: “There were some really beautiful photographs, but I was completely blown away by Jane Murphy’s photograph of the Chesterton windmill.

"The colours in that moody, dusky sky are truly stunning."

Jane was awarded a Moroccan oil gift set as the winning prize, while each entry was gifted a £5 voucher to spend in the salon at the Nuffield at Warwick Gates.
