Warwick’s visitor information centre is getting ready to welcome visitors once more

The centre will reopen on July 4 – as the town’s pubs, restaurants and attractions get back into business after the lockdown.

There will be measures in place to make sure visitors and staff are safe, with screens at the desks and social distancing marks.

The number of people in the centre at any one time will have to be limited by the staff and hand-sanitisers will be available at both doors.

A one-way system will be in place and people should enter by the Castle Street door and leave at the front door into Jury Street.

Sales of books, maps and souvenirs will be by credit card only. The public toilets in Pageant Garden will also be open.

Liz Healey, the visitor centre manager, said: “We are so excited to be able to open on July 4 after the lockdown and once again be able to give a warm welcome to the thousands of people who come to Warwick every summer.

"We are looking forward to the restart and working with and supporting our wonderful colleagues in the town, whilst being mindful of the current situation."

The Visitor Centre will be open seven days a week: 9.30am to 4.30pm on weekdays, 10am to 4.30pm on Saturdays, and 10am – 4pm on Sundays.
