This year's Kenilworth Carnival might not be taking place this year - but there will still be a way for residents to hand over money to charity.

Tomorrow (Saturday June 27) the mayor Cllr Richard Dickson and consort will be walking the carnival route armed with a fishing net and bucket to collect donations for the carnival charity comforts fund.

They will start as usual at 1pm from Forrest Road and then head toward Castle Green, then the High Street and Bridge Street.

From there they will head down the A452 to Warwick Road turning into St John's Street.

At the junction with St Nicholas Avenue they will turn right and proceed into Randall Road and head back to Forrest Road via the town centre, aiming to finish at 3pm.

Cllr Dickson said: "It will be lovely to meet lots of local residents on the way because the carnival is a great tradition and a sure sign of the strong sense of community in Kenilworth."
