Police appeal for witnesses to assault in Leamington

The incident happened in Bedford Street near to the car park which runs between Bedford Street and Augusta Place just before 11.30pm.

The 19-year-old man was punched and knocked unconscious when he tried to help a woman who he believed was being hassled by a group of men.

Ambulance staff treated the man for cuts and bruises to his face and he was taken to hospital for further assessment.
