Police release CCTV image after 61-year-old man is robbed in Leamington

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery that occurred In Leamington last Friday (January 2).

The robbery happened at around 5:15pm as the victim, a 61-year-old man, was walking along Regent Grove towards the Parade.

When he reached his destination, the car park on Kenilworth Street, he was struck over the head and fell to the floor.

When the victim got up, he realised his brief case and shopping bag had been taken.

Inside the briefcase were several bank paying in books for various banks, a small amount of cash and a Tiffany bracelet.

The offender made off in an unknown direction.

The victim suffered minor injuries, requiring hospital treatment.

A CCTV image has been released of a man that police are keen to speak with in connection with the robbery.

If anyone recognises the man in the picture, or has any information on the robbery they are urged to call police on 101, quoting incident 221 of 2nd January 2015.
