£1,000 gift from ladies who lunch

Soroptimists in Leamington and Warwick have presented a £1,000 donation to the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance at the service’s base in Baginton.

The Leamington and Warwick branch of the Soroptimists presented a £1,000 donation to the air ambulance crew, that they raised through holding a 'coronation' lunch in June to mark the 60th anniversary of the Queen's coronation.

Members of the towns’ branch of the Soroptimists raised the money by organising a buffet lunch to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s coronation in June.

Branch president hosted the event for 90 guests in the garden of her home.
