Saveena Johal said “I signed up to the Santa run not only to give something back to such an amazing charity, but I wanted to do something proactive and positive to raise awareness for Baljeev.

Without the Missing People charity Baljeev’s case would not have been spread so widely. They are still finding more ways to raise awareness and with their help, we are going to ensure the search for him never stops.

I would really like to thank everyone who sponsored us. The donations are a true indication of how many people this has affected and how many people want to help us.

With the amazing help of Luis yesterday, along with all the family and friends that came to cheer us on, I managed to push myself through with the Santa costume still miraculously intact.

There were many points throughout the run when I thought to myself if Baljeev saw me now he would laugh at me, and that’s what kept me going. When he comes back and I show him the pictures I’m pretty sure he will do just that.

All in all, this is my way of showing Baljeev how much we all love and appreciate him. I will be signing up to fundraising events/runs next year so this definitely doesn’t stop here. You are still able to donate and it would be great if you could help us to reach the target”

Police enquiries to locate Baljeev are continuing although there have been no sightings since he disappeared in October.

Baljeev is described as an Asian male, around 6”3. He wears glasses and was last seen wearing a slim white shirt with a black jacket and black trousers.

Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident number 16 of 5th October.

Alternatively contact the missing people charity on 116 000 in confidence.
