Robbery at Leamington off-licence

A ROBBER wearing a crash helmet stole cash and cigarettes after threatening staff at a Leamington shop last month.

The thief at first pretended to buy goods at Guys Cliffe Wines in the attack on Friday July 27 at around 6.45pm, but moved behind the counter as the shop assistant opened the till, pushing them aside and taking cash and cigarettes.

He made off along Rugby Road towards Leamington, and police believe he may have been seen speaking to a woman, possibly a witness, along the road.
