SLIDESHOW: Warwick Lions Fund Day 2013

Some 4,000 visitors to Guide Dogs For the Blind’s summer fair in Leamington on Saturday helped to make it the most successful fair to date.

Not only did the charity raise more than £5,000 at the event at Edmonscote Manor, but it also welcomed 30 people - including Warwick and Leamington MP Chris White - who signed up to sponsor a puppy and attracted the interest of scores who wanted to become volunteer bitch brood holders, puppy walkers or branch volunteers.

Graham Kensett, mobility team manager for the Midlands, said: “We raised more than £5,000, but the event was also successful because of the volunteer engagement and media interest. It was the most successful event we have ever had.”
