Southam Primary School pupils were jumping through hoops to show off their sporting talents last week.

Pupils in key stage 1 - from reception to year 2 - took part in a sports day last Tuesday which included 12 different events.

The youngsters skipped, ran, jumped, crawled, threw and balanced their way through 12 different activities.

Plenty of parents were present to cheer on their children and the weather remained dry for what the school’s staff have described as its “best sports day yet”.

The school, in St James Road, also held its key stage 2 sports days for years 3 to 6 last Friday and this was also hailed success.
