Students’ brief encounter

CONSTRUCTION students turned their hand to designing, marketing and selling their own Olympic-themed undies made by the Pants to Poverty charity.

Based at the Warwickshire College’s Moreton Morrell centre, they are selling the pants at £10 and feature the team’s logo on the rear.

They are taking part in a challenge involving other colleges to raise as much as possible for the charity, which could win them a trip to India to see the supply chain – from cotton to bottom.

The team includes Jade Parry, Gary Barnett, Peter Nosworthy, Joe Thompson, Aaron Autwal and Gurdev Dhinjan.

Aaron, the marketing and finance officer, said: “It’s Fairtrade and it’s for a good cause. The material is really good, they’re young, they’re fun and the pants are really trendy.”

The students have a stall at Warwick market and the briefs are available in sizes small, medium and large, and in male and female versions.
