Sydenham pair charged with supplying class A drugs and burglary

A man and a woman from Sydenham have been charged with drug offences following a police raid.

Nicole McGregor, 25, and Jonathon Cook, 39, both of Fallow Hill, were charged with supplying Class A drugs - heroin and crack cocaine.

The charges came after a warranrt was executed by officers at an address in the area on Tuesday February 18.

A large amount if heroin was seized as a result of the search and both McGergor and Cook were arrested at the time and bailed pending further enquiries.

An extensive investigation then took place including forensic examinations, anaylsis of phone data and gaining evidence in relation to drug paraphernalia.

Psi Russ Marsh of Proactive CID at Leamington said: “We have been working with Warwick District Council throughout this investigation to combat the unpleasant effects anti-social behaviour can have on local communities.

“Whilst this was a lengthy investigation, I hope it serves a message that anti-social behaviour and drug crime will not be tolerated. We will commit all available resources to bring offenders to justice and we will work our hardest to keep Warwickshire a safe place to live.”

McGregor and Cook have also been charged with two burglaries which happened on Friday September 19 and Monday September 22 in Leamington Terrace.

They appeared at Leamington Spa Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Cook was remanded in custody until Wednesday November 5 and McGregor was given conditional bail.
