Teenager admits part in fire which caused damage in Leamington park

A Leamington teenager will carry out voluntary work in order to make amends for damage he and others caused when they lit a bonfire at the Pump Room Gardens.

The fire, which the group of teenagers had lit in order to roast marshmallows, caused damaged to greenery and grass in the town centre park.

Police were called to the incident last Thursday.

The teenager, who fully admitted his part in the incident, will carry out work for Warwick District Council to improve the condition of public spaces for everyone’s enjoyment.
