Three dogs are recovering after eating rat poison in a Kenilworth park

Three dogs are recovering after eating rat poison in a Kenilworth park.

Local residents have put up signs at Bates Memorial Park since the poisonings at the weekend, warning other dog walkers.

It is unclear who put the rat poison down but it is believed that residents have cleared the park themselves.

Penny​ Clarke, veterinary surgeon at Avonvale Veterinary Centres, said: "Three dogs were treated by us over the weekend after eating rodent poison in Bates Memorial Park.

"We provided emergency treatment to all dogs and, thanks to the prompt action by their owners, all dogs are doing well now."
