Two-day charity music festival for three south Warwickshire causes

A two-day music festival held at a pub near Warwick will start tomorrow (Saturday).

The Oxstock 2013 runs all weekend at The Durham Ox in Shrewley.

The event will raise money for three charities that all have a local connection.

They are 353 - set up in memory of paratrooper Conrad Lewis, a local solider who was killed in Afghanistan (pictured); The Mat Davis Foundation - set up in memory of 23-yearold Mat from Warwick, who died of a brain tumour; and Molly Olly’s wishes - which supports children with terminal or life-threatening illnesses in memory young local girl Molly.

The music will be performed in the pub’s large beer garden from 2pm to midnight on Saturday and 3-9pm on Sunday.

Performers already booked include local bands Kathleen Turner Overdrive, The Cut Throats, and Million Empire . Also playing are acoustic singers Cameron and Sadie Fleming as well as X Factor alumuni Faye Horne.

Other highlights include a barbecue, tombola and market stalls as well as entertainment for the children - bouncy castle, children’s entertainer and face-painting)

Visitors will get a wristband so they can come and go.

Two day ticket for adult is £15; two day ticket for child is £10; family two day ticket (two adults, two children) is £40; one day ticket for adult is £10; family one day ticket is £25; one day ticket for child is £5.
