Victim in M40 minibus accident is named

POLICE have named a young Leamington woman killed in a motorway accident near Warwick early last Friday.

Izabela Elsa Agachi, 25, of Clapham Terrace was one of the passengers in a silver Ford Transit minibus that was in collision with a white Daf lorry on the southbound carriageway of the M40 between junction 16 and junction 15, Longbridge island at around 12.50am.

Another woman who was also a passenger in the minibus was seriously injured and was taken to University Hospital, Coventry. The minibus driver, a man, was also taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm.

The lorry driver was not injured.

A 43 year old man who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving has been questioned and released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Police are still investigating the collision and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash, or saw either vehicle before it occurred.
